The operative services of our urbanisation have been working, following the advice of our Environment Director, on a project for a path that is already completed, "a natural island within an urban area, where the fauna and flora will be identifiable and displayed on interpretive notices that will invite us to enjoy nature". We have also built a wooden bridge that will allow access to the path through the entrance on Avda. De España which the children will undoubtedly love.

It is a green area of Calahonda that has a great ecological importance where the dense vegetation and the availability of water from the pond throughout all the year make this a place frequented by many different animals and especially birds. We suggest that you learn more about it through an interpretive itinerary. Walking along this path means enjoying a pretty part of the urbanisation and at the same time learning about the natural heritage that lives there.

Several notices show visitors the peculiarities of the autochthonous vegetation that grows in this area such as pine trees, cork trees or the dense undergrowth that has proliferated by the river under the canopy of the eucalyptus trees. All along the path you will find information that will help you identify a great number of birds. We hope you enjoy your walk and don’t forget the recommendations for its use.
